Burlesque of North America
by Burlesque.com
?Burlesque is a North American company with a focus on design, printing,
and publishing. Its history is as interesting and unique as the projects
the company produces. In the 1990s, a group of graffiti writers banded
together to publish a magazine called Life Sucks Die, featuring creative
collages and graffiti work from around the world. By the mid-2000s, the
magazine was no longer in existence, but its visible style had become
so recognizable that those who had been contributing for the last 10
years found opportunity after opportunity for design jobs. Initially
these jobs centered mostly around screenprinted concert posters, which
became hugely popular, and the work demand then extended to designs for
album covers and T-shirts. Their work continued to gain popularity and
has morphed into what is now known as Burlesque Design, made up of a
group of 7 core contributors.
They have a variety of projects they work on now. They still accept
design projects, specifically focusing on items such as posters and
album packaging. However, they no longer only print their own design
work, but also work with artists to produce high quality art prints.
They have collaborated with artists such as Jennifer Davis, Broken Crow,
Deuce Seven, and David Choe. The prints available by those artists can
be purchased on the Burlesque website.
Burlesque also offers their printing services to the public in general.
Those who have already created their own designs can upload them to the
website and then, through Burlesque's order form, have it printed on a
T-shirt or poster and shipped out to them.
Burlesque's wide variety of services for hire and many years of
expertise in graphic design make them an excellent choice for those
seeking innovative ways to promote an event or a brand.
