The titillating event promises to bring back the seductive and sensuous art of classic striptease for three days, September 13-15. Beautiful bodies and vintage styles combine for a burlesque event that is stunningly reminiscent of days gone by.
The 2012 Burlesque Festival features feminine stars from today and yesterday to perform classic and traditional striptease. Each of the beautiful acts will dip, strip and compete for title of Queen of Burlesque. On the schedule to entertain and amuse are such notables as Kitten DeVille, who is known for her performances in "Burlesque Assassins" and "AutoFocus." Another featured act is Perle Noire, who was crowned Queen of Burlesque at the 2009 Festival and recently performed alongside the legendary burlesque queen, Dita VonTeese.
The annual Burlesque Festival is designed for classic burlesque aficionados. The event is punctuated throughout with discussion panels and workshops on the history and art of classic stripping. Several stimulating and sensational parties are expected to break out during the festivities. Plan for three days of hot music, gorgeous girls and lots of laughs and excitement.
Competing striptease mavens first strutted across the New Orleans Burlesque Festival's stage in 2009. The event was created by New Orleans native and entrepreneur Rick Delaup. He is well-known in burlesque circles for 15 years of sexy shows done in 1950s style. One of Delaup's longest-running burlesque hits is "Bustout Burlesque," which has been wowing audiences at House of Blues since 2005.
